From what I've experienced, apple has been pretty good about preventing people from doing just that (stealing music, supposedly...). However, when you plug the iPod into the computer and then go to the drive (should be in the MyComputer folder), there will be a folder that is called music and mostdownload itunes music ipod of it should be in there.
